Bring Hope to Canadian PANS & PANDAS Families This Holiday

Your support matters. Please donate.

Navigating the path toward better awareness and care for PANS/PANDAS patients is challenging, and every contribution makes a real difference. Through shared commitment, strong partnerships, and new educational resources and training, we can create a brighter future for Canadian individuals and families affected.

Your generosity is what allows the Inflamed Brain Alliance (IBA) to help families find understanding, healing, and hope.

  • Hosting Canada’s first medically accredited national PANS/PANDAS Conference, Unfolding PANS/PANDAS: Reshaping BRAIN+BODY Health, in partnership with the Mathison Centre for Mental Health Research and Education, Hotchkiss Brain Institute, and Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary
  • Launching the research ethics–approved Canadian PANS Registry (CPR), advancing care standards, quality of life understanding, and new therapies
  • Expanding the Hope Companions national peer-support program for caregivers, offering more opportunities for connection and emotional support
  • Spearheading the global #LightUp4PANS campaign, collaborating with 15 partner organizations to illuminate over 230 landmarks worldwide—including 73 in Canada
  • Adding Fredericton, NB as the third location for the annual Steppin’ Out for PANS/PANDAS awareness and fundraising walk
  • Welcoming back a returning summer student to continue building organizational capacity and momentum

Looking ahead to 2026, IBA is focused on strengthening leadership, enhancing board governance, and broadening our funding base to deepen our national impact. With your support, we can expand evidence-based programs, advance critical research, and equip clinicians with the knowledge to provide timely, informed care.

  • Launching IBA’s Clinicians Network to connect healthcare professionals across Canada and improve diagnosis and care pathways
  • Advocating for a Health Canada national screening statement recommending physician evaluation for PANS/PANDAS in acute-onset neuropsychiatric cases
  • Developing plans for Canada’s 2nd National PANS/PANDAS Conference, coming to Toronto on May 27–28, 2027
  • Launching an Ambassador Program to empower families, clinicians, and allies with tools, training, and messaging for grassroots awareness and education

Your year-end gift will ensure Canadian families affected by PANS/PANDAS receive the support, education, and advocacy they urgently need.

Every contribution—whether $10, $25, or $250—strengthens our ability to bring healing to families across Canada.

Your generosity fuels everything we do and builds a healthier, more informed, and compassionate future for Canadians living with PANS and PANDAS.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Marnie & Richard Deschenes
Co-Founders & Co-Chairs, Inflamed Brain Alliance
